Dustin and I have gone to the apple orchard every year since we started dating, which was almost 8 years ago when we were still in high school. Going to the apple orchard is something we look forward to every fall. In October of 2008, we were celebrating our 6 year anniversary. Dustin brought a bag of cracker jacks along for a snack (or so he claimed). We got into the orchard and began picking apples. He stopped to open the bag of cracker jacks and we both took a big handful. A few handfuls later I grabbed a sticker from the bag and jokingly said, "I thought rings were supposed to come in these things." Dustin didn't say anything, he just kept walking ahead of me until I whined about him eating all the cracker jacks. One big handful later, there was a ring in my hand. I said, "Oh look there is a ring!" Dustin grabbed the ring, got down on one knee, and proposed.
